We're ending on an excellent week here in Avon. The weather was seasonably hot - upper 80's all week with a few rain showers, and a great lightning show on Thursday night. Avon has been our pick OBX destination since the late 80's and our boys, who are now 15 and 17, find it a bit slow as do some of our friends who like to shop, etc. So when we booked your house last year we knew we would have a bit of difficulty filling it. Our boys enjoyed the loft and the PS2 etc. And our extended family (5 of whom stayed over for 2 nights!) had a great time too! We grilled twice - thanks for the gas, and enjoyed your fine kitchen! Knowing that your home here is a work in progress we want you to know we think it's beautiful! You have obviously put a great deal of time and money into it.

Since it was just the 4 of us for most of the week, we had some quality time ...movie nights, multiple games of Scrabble (I 'm on a binge of it presently!), family dinners every night...I read two books between Saturday evening and Thursday. I rarely have time to read at home...too many distractions. Hope to return to your home again."
